Things You Didn’t Know Were Surprising About The Avatar Movie

When a beloved book, television show, or graphic novel gets adapted into a movie, there is always a chance of disappointment. Although we as fans have little control over whether it is made or not, we trust the film’s creators with our hope that they won’t ruin our beloved stories. We occasionally receive benefits for our faith. Our hopes are occasionally picked up and then promptly smashed to the ground.

After that, someone begins to dash our expectations. Then they wrap our hopes in gasoline, light a match underneath them, and watch as they burn to ashes. You know what I’m talking about if you’re a big fan of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. When we learned that a movie adaptation of our favorite television show was in the works, we were hesitantly excited. However, when we went to the theater to see M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, our aspirations were completely dashed.

The last time I ever went to a movie with a hopeful heart was to see that one. I no longer have high expectations when I see movies so that I won’t ever be damaged in the same way. The failure of that movie was caused by a number of factors. It takes a lot of people to make a movie, as much as we might prefer to put the blame on one individual for the trainwreck.

Even while some people are more accountable than others, we cannot simply take the simple route and blame someone, no matter how much we might want to. So, just in case you’re curious about the wet pile of steaming crap that is this movie, here’s a list of some trivia you might not be aware of, including some interesting tidbits that explain why it was so terrible.
