It was claimed that there was no other way to permanently resolve the disputes surrounding the mosques. A committee set up by the Federal Islamic Supreme Council recently spoke with Mr. Bnalf Andualem, the Minister of Federal Peace, about the issue of the destruction of mosques in some areas and tried to come up with a solution together.
Religious leaders from the Federal Majlis, Addis Ababa Majlis, and Oromia Majlis were present at the Ministry of Peace office, along with Commissioner Getu Argau of the Addis Ababa Police Commission and Mrs. Lydia Girma, Head of the City Peace and Security Office of the Addis Ababa City Administration.
