The Commission is putting the finishing touches on preparations around the nation to start the conversation. Included in this is the Tigray regional state, where a two-year war was recently over.
The Commission was founded last year with the goal of resolving the nation’s urgent problems through an unprecedented, inclusive public dialogue. It is anticipated that the national dialogue will begin in the upcoming months.
Representatives from diverse groups are now being chosen by the Commission to participate in the discussion. According to representatives of the NDC, the Commission was unable to begin preparations in seven zones of the Oromia regional state.
