Interview with Danayit Mekbib

The World Cup qualifying matches and the African Club Championship will not be held at the Bahir Dar National Stadium, which has previously hosted national team events, according to Kaff.

Due to non-compliance with CAF Stadium Standards, Bahir Dar National Stadium has been prohibited from hosting events.

Mohammed Sidat, the CAF Club Licensing Manager, recently traveled to Ethiopia to check various venues. After reviewing the Bahir Dar Facility, they traveled to Kenya to see the same stadium.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in a letter to the Ethiopian Football Federation, has forbidden the Bahir Dar Stadium from holding World Cup qualifiers and the CAF Champions League. The stadium has been the site of numerous national team matches (EFF).

In a letter, Kaff commanded Kaf to quickly let him know where Ethiopia will face Ghana in the World Cup qualifier by October 20. If he didn’t, Kaf was to move the match to the adversary nation.
