Lottery applicants must check the State Department’s official Diversity Visa Lottery website beginning at noon ET on May 6, 2023 to find out if they have been selected to submit an application for a diversity visa. Due of high user traffic, participants may experience delays when attempting to access the official website. Lottery winners do not receive direct notice from the State Department. Selected entrants can submit an application for permanent residence during FY 2024, which begins on October 1, 2023.
