Celebrities from Ethiopia featured in the 9th Gumma Award photo program. Ethio Films Production’s Yonas Berhane Mewa created the Gumma film award. Yonas Berhene Mewa established the Gumma Film Awards in 2014. He wants to promote Ethiopian culture in the film industry because he owns a company that produces movies in Ethiopia. Through Gumma, the organizers hoped to raise the caliber of Ethiopia’s film production to international standards.
